2. Use of this website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

use the website in any way that causes damage or disruption;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server or systems;
copy, reproduce or misuse our content without permission;
submit false, misleading, offensive or harmful information;
use the website for spam, fraud or unlawful activity.

We may restrict or block access to the website where we believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Information on this website

The content on this website is provided for general information only. Although we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, accurate or available.

Information on this website should not be treated as legal, financial, medical, psychological, clinical or other regulated professional advice.

Any results or outcomes described on the website are examples only. Individual and organisational results may vary.

4. Services

AMHWAL may offer services including, but not limited to:

leadership training;
management development;
coaching;
mentoring;
workshops;
consultancy;
keynote speaking;
online or in-person programmes;
downloadable resources;
bespoke organisational development programmes.

The specific details of any service, including scope, fees, dates, location, format, deliverables and payment terms, will be confirmed separately by proposal, booking page, invoice, written agreement or email confirmation.

5. Bookings and acceptance

A booking is only confirmed when we have accepted it in writing, issued a booking confirmation, or received any required payment.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where:

the service is no longer available;
payment has not been received;
incorrect information has been provided;
there is a conflict of interest;
the booking is unsuitable for the service requested;
we are unable to deliver the service for reasons beyond our reasonable control.

6. Fees and payment

Fees will be stated on the relevant proposal, invoice, booking page or written agreement.

Unless stated otherwise:

fees are payable in pounds sterling;
VAT may be charged where applicable;
payment must be made by the due date stated on the invoice;
late payment may result in postponement or cancellation of services;
any additional costs, such as travel, accommodation, venue hire, materials or third-party costs, may be charged separately where agreed.

For business clients, payment terms will normally be set out in the proposal or invoice.

7. Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling terms may vary depending on the service booked.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following terms apply to business bookings:

cancellations made more than 14 days before delivery may be rescheduled subject to availability;
cancellations made within 14 days of delivery may be charged in full or in part;
any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred may be charged to the client;
rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

For consumer bookings made online or at a distance, cancellation rights may apply under UK consumer contract rules. UK guidance states that consumers usually have a 14-day cooling-off period for many online or distance service contracts, although exceptions may apply where services have already begun with the customer’s agreement.

Where a consumer asks us to begin providing a service during the cancellation period, the consumer may be required to pay for the proportion of the service already provided before cancellation. The official UK guidance also explains that businesses may only retain cancellation charges that reflect actual losses in certain circumstances.

8. Changes to services

We may make reasonable changes to services where necessary, including changes to:

dates;
times;
trainers, coaches or facilitators;
venue;
delivery format;
programme content;
materials;
technology platform.

Where we need to make a significant change, we will aim to notify you as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Client responsibilities

Where you or your organisation book a service, you agree to:

provide accurate information;
ensure participants are available and prepared;
provide any required pre-work, questionnaires or information on time;
ensure a suitable venue or online access where relevant;
treat our staff, associates and other participants with respect;
avoid recording sessions without written permission;
use materials only for the intended purpose.

For organisational bookings, the client is responsible for ensuring that participants understand any relevant joining instructions, confidentiality expectations and attendance requirements.

10. Coaching, training and development disclaimer

AMHWAL’s services are designed for learning, development, leadership improvement, self-awareness and organisational performance.

Coaching, training and mentoring are not substitutes for medical treatment, therapy, legal advice, financial advice, HR legal advice or clinical psychological intervention.

If a participant requires medical, mental health, legal, employment, financial or clinical support, they should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

11. Assessments, questionnaires and personal development tools

We may use questionnaires, self-assessments, reflective exercises, personality-style tools or leadership assessments as part of our services.

These tools are intended to support reflection and development. They should not be used as the sole basis for employment decisions, recruitment, disciplinary action, diagnosis or clinical assessment.

Where confidential information is shared as part of coaching, consultancy or organisational development work, we will take reasonable steps to protect that information.

Clients and participants must also respect confidentiality and must not disclose sensitive information shared by others during group sessions, workshops or coaching discussions.

Confidentiality may not apply where disclosure is required by law, safeguarding concerns arise, or there is a serious risk of harm.

16. Data protection and privacy

We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data. The UK Information Commissioner’s Office states that organisations must explain why they process personal data, how long they keep it, who they share it with, and what rights individuals have.

Please read our Privacy Policy before submitting personal information through this website.

17. Cookies

This website may use cookies or similar technologies.

Where required, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. The ICO states that organisations must tell users about cookies, explain what they do and obtain clear consent unless the cookie is strictly necessary for the service requested.

This website may include links to third-party websites or platforms.

We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, accuracy or privacy practices of any third-party website. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

19. Technology and online delivery

Where services are delivered online, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable internet connection, device, software and access to the relevant platform.

We are not responsible for delays, interruptions or inability to access online services caused by your equipment, internet connection, software, firewall, workplace restrictions or third-party platforms.

20. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to this, AMHWAL will not be liable for:

indirect or consequential loss;
loss of profits;
loss of business;
loss of opportunity;
loss of goodwill;
loss of data;
failure to achieve a particular personal, professional or organisational outcome;
losses caused by reliance on general website content.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount paid for that specific service, unless otherwise required by law.

21. Events outside our control

We will not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, travel disruption, severe weather, strikes, venue issues, internet failure, cyber incidents, government restrictions, public health issues or other force majeure events.

Where such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to rearrange or adapt the service where possible.

22. Behaviour and safeguarding

We reserve the right to remove a participant from a course, workshop, coaching session or event where their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, unsafe or inappropriate.

No refund will be due where removal is necessary because of a participant’s misconduct.

Where safeguarding or serious welfare concerns arise, we may take appropriate action, including contacting relevant authorities or nominated organisational contacts where lawful and appropriate.

23. Marketing communications

Where you sign up for updates, downloads, events or newsletters, we may send you relevant communications in accordance with applicable marketing and data protection rules.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
